Samples & Approval
Choose a physical sample or approve the final artwork and specification in writing; the agreed reference governs production and inspection.
There are two ways to approve a custom order: a physical sample, or written approval of the final production artwork and specification without a physical sample. We confirm which route applies before production.
Physical sample route
A sample lets you assess the actual colour, size, edge, backing and feel. Typical sample time is 3–7 working days after the artwork and sample payment terms are agreed. Any change after reviewing it should be recorded in the final specification.
Written-approval route
For an order without a physical sample, you approve the final artwork and written specifications instead. A screen proof cannot show the exact feel or colour of a finished patch; ask for a physical sample if those details need to be confirmed in person before bulk production.
What the approval record identifies
- Final artwork version and design reference
- Process, material, finished size, colours, edge and backing
- Quantity by design, size and colour, plus packaging requirements
- Who approved the order and which reference applies to inspection
The customer placing the order gives us the final approval, even when their own client has an internal approval step. Changes to an approved version may affect price or schedule and need written reconfirmation. See the full order process.
